Frequently Asked Questions

I am a new client, what do I do?

Thank you for the opportunity to earn your business! Please complete the Client Intake Form on this website and review my Policies. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns via phone call, text or email. I look forward to meeting you!

Do I need to arrive early?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your facial to fill out a health form (if needed), use the restroom, and start the general relaxation process. Should you arrive late, we will make every possible effort to accommodate you during the remaining time of your scheduled appointment.
Do I need to remove my makeup?
No, I’ll do that for you. This is your time to relax.
Why should I get regular facials?
Healthy skin is beautiful skin. Being proactive and looking after your skin on an on-going basis will help slow down the signs of aging, keep your skin clear, healthy and nourished. It is also important to maintaining your at-home skin care regime.
Can I wear makeup after my facial?
Ideally, I would love you to go home and relax and enjoy your natural glow for as long as you can. However, life is busy, so if you are going out afterwards or back to work, putting on make-up will not harm your facial. Your skin will continue to radiate. I would recommend cleaning your makeup brushes or using a new sponge to avoid contaminating your freshly cleaned skin.
How does LED help my skin?
In the same way that plants use chlorophyll to convert sunlight into plant tissue, high intensity light emitting diodes (LEDs) utilizing specific, proven wavelengths are well researched and scientifically proven to kill acne bacteria, enhance collagen and elastin production, improve skin tone and texture, reduce inflammation and increase circulation and tissue repair.
What is a done in a Dermaplaning facial?
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe treatment. Being licensed and certified in Dermaplaning, I delicately use a surgical scalpel to remove the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine vellus hair (peach fuzz).
Will my hair grow back thicker and darker after a Dermaplaing facial?
Absolutely Not! As long as the hair is superficial vellus hair, it will grow back at the same rate and texture as before the treatment. Exfoliation of dead skin cells along with the removal of fine hairs result in healthier, brighter skin that has a smoother look and feel.
Does it matter what I use on my skin at home?
Yes, it is very important! Using the appropriate skin care product in your daily regimen will extend the life of your facial as well help you to achieve the results you are looking for. I would love to be your trusted skin care professional!
What’s the difference between Over-the Counter home care products and your professional line?
Professional home care products are created in small batches with fresh, high quality, and active ingredients that will benefit your skin in a multitude of visible and invisible ways. Over the counter products (from Amazon, department or drug stores) are made in large batches for the masses with a multitude of preservatives to extend shelf life. Over the counter products have low active ingredients created for “one size fits all”. If you are looking for results, it is imperative that you use products formulated to the needs of your specific skin type. Every person is unique; therefore, every skin is unique.
